Given the termination of decentralized cooperation between Cesson-Sévigné and Dankassari, the AESCD was dissolved at an extraordinary general meeting on March 18, 2025.

At its general meeting on March 22, 2025, the AECIN agreed to take over from the AESCD to maintain its achievements. It plans to dedicate a portion of its own funds to monitoring and sustainability missions. The AESCD’s assets were transferred to the AECIN.

Reminder of the history of the AESCD

The Association for Solidarity and Exchanges Cesson-Dankassari
is a French association created on March 13^th 2009.

Its goals are as follows :

• to promote solidarity and exchanges between the inhabitants of Cesson-Sévigné and Dankassari, in the Department of Dogon Doutchi, mainly in the fields of education, mother and child health care, access to water and sanitation, respect for the environment, food safety and support to economic initiatives as well as professional and cultural exchanges.
• to play a part in charity activities in Cesson and develop operations to educate, inform and motivate about the actions carried out in Dankassari, in Lougou in particular, and more generally in Niger.

The Cesson-Sévigné city council entrusted AESCD with monitoring the decentralized cooperation between Cesson et Dankassari between 2009 and 2023.
For the 2018-2020 period, a joint agreement was signed between AESCD and Cesson-Sévigné Town, it was renewed for the period 2021-2023.

AESCD is part of the Cesson International Solidarity Structure, namely,by joining the organisation of the Solidarity Festival and it is also involved in the Cesson schools.
