The Solidarity Festival takes place in November in Rennes. As from November 2017, it replaceq the International Solidarity Week after 19 years.
AECIN and AESCD have been involved for several years, within the MIR in Rennes and Cesson-Sévigné. In 2014, ANIRE joined them.
Program in 2021
- The operations listed below are the ones which actually include a partnership with AECIN and AESCD. Some actions have been postponed since 2020.
- From november 14th to 29th, we hosted Maman Chamadou, who carried out a mission from RAEDD to establish and follow up the AESCD and AECIN actions, as a French Government guest (with travel and insurance expenses from the French Embassy in Niger) and as a Cesson Sévigné Town council guest.
- At the Rennes International Center, AECIN Tarbyya Tatali, with DEFI, the NFO, UNICEF 35, International Solidarity, organized an event focused on inequalities in water access; Rennes primary school classes were invited from November 15th to 26th. The Rennes Business School and students from the Saint Aubin d’Aubigné Rural Family Center were trained to supervise the activities (exhibition, games, videos, debates).
- Panel Discussion on safe water stakes, on Monday November 15th from 6p.m to 8.30 p.m., at the Rennes International Center; live on You Tube, from MIR, with Abdoulaye Adamou Zangui from the Niger Hydrology Ministry, Guillaume Aubourg from PSeau and Flavie Boukhenoufa from EBR.
- Conference and Debates on Fighting epidemics, on Water and Health, a conference with Renaud Piarroux; Justine Muzik-Piquemal and Manon Gallec, on November 17th from 6p.m. to 8.pm. at the Rennes Medicine University.
Exhibition: ‘Trees for a Better Life in Dankassari’, at the Pont des Arts (Cesson- Sévigné Media Center), organized by AESCD, photos by Abdou Aziz Soumaïla from November 19th to December 6th.
- Exhibition: Sustainable Development’s 17 targets, from Good Planet Foundation, at the Pont des Arts Hall, (Cesson-Sévigné) from November to December 2021. - Exhibition Alimenterre, Pont des Arts Hall (Cesson-Sévigné) : Understanding the causes for hunger in the world, a guide for action, and a presentation of Cesson’s charities involved in International solidarity, from November 19th to 29th.
- Conference: Women’s Access to Health, in France, Africa and Latin America, on Monday November 22nd, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm .with Mounia El Kotki and Yannick Jaffré on line.
- At the Sévigné Cinema: ‘The Paradox of Hunger in the world’, a debate following a show of four shorts, Monday November 22nd at 8.30pm.
- Panel Discussion: dealing with violence inflicted to women in health care, Wednesday November 22nd from 6.30pm to 8pm, at the Rennes International Center. November 24th from 6.30 pm to 8pm, at the MIR and online, with Harouna Yacouba, Jérôme Blanchot, Jean-Philippe Harlicot et Christiane David.
