The decentralized cooperation "Côte d’Armor-Tchirozérine"

The general council of Cotes d’Armor has been working for 10 years or so with the Agadez region to put in place decentralization; the department of Tchirozerine with Agadez was created in 2004. This cooperation was also financed by towns of Cotes d’Armor: Guingamp, Arguenin Hunaudeye, Saint-Brieuc, Trebrivan, Lanion and Langueux. This cooperation focuses on education, health, training of elected members and the local administration.

Education projects have been assigned to Tarbiyya-Tatali (RAEDD). Tarbayya Tatali works with the local members of Agadez, and elected members of the region. Four intitiatives have ben launched:

- The program 0ne schoolbook per pupil per subject in primary and secondary schools.
- Continuing education for teachers
- School correspondence exchanges
- The equipement of school libraries in villages

Decentralized cooperation between the Zinder Urban Community in Niger and Val-de-Marne in France

The education project was granted to RAEDD early in 2009.
- Implementation and training of the management committees in secondary schools.
- Teacher training for the use of textbooks in French, maths, English.
- 0ne schoolbook per pupil per subject operation launched in 5 targeted junior secondary schools.
- Seminar on how to bridge the gap between primary and secondary education.
- Follow-up and support for the ongoing operations.

Other decentralized cooperation

The town of Plelan-le-Petit has been providing support to the village of Lillato (Dankassari region) for 10 years by giving schoolbooks and paying for the boarding house . The town of Janze subsidizes Tarbiyya Tatali for its activities at Gourou Kirey and Angoula Saoulo.

A Decentralised cooperation between Cesson-Sévigné and Dankassari started in 2009, following contacts helped by Tarbiyya Tatali.
