The French Foreign Ministry supports French town councils involved in decentralized cooperation with Niger town councils.

In Dankassari an initial project was supported in 2011, funding a survey of the water requirements in every village of the rural community.

The following have been ratified: ‘The Joint Development Project’ on Combined Municipal Strategy for the rural villages belonging to Dankassari district in Niger’, from 2013 to 2015. The following have also been approved: “Going Ahead toward Sustainable Development Goals in the Dankassari villages”, for 2017-2018, and ‘Sustainable Development’ in Dankassari for 2018-2020.

The 2020-2021‘Dankassari Villages Sustainable Development program is now proceeding.
